Thirty years in security and infrastructure — long enough to remember when servers had names and cables were run by hand. These days I lead a small endpoint, data and security team, and I own the tools that do the quiet work. Done properly, most of this job is invisible. I've made my peace with that. Honestly, I prefer it.
